AMD plans three Regor based dual-cores that will feature
2MB total cache and come in AM3. These CPUs should replace Kuma based
65nm part and they will finally get AMD dual-core K10.5 CPUs over 3GHz.
Since Intel already has a 3.33GHz dual-core, AMD has to come
close to this frequency, but AMD keeps saying that they compete against Intel dual-cores
with three-cores. At this time, we don’t really know the frequency of this CPU,
but over 3GHz sounds like a positive step forward.
The CPU will have a 65W TDP, while the Kuma 65nm dual-core that
sells as Athlon X2 7750 and 7550 has a massive 95W TDP.
