According to Samsung's president of solution business Gary Wu, by 2020 all of Samsung's products will feature IoT support and will chat to each other about what their human owner is doing.
Wu thinks IoT-supported devices will reach 6.4 billion units worldwide in 2016 and will create enterprise service spending of around $869 billion.
This means that 60 percent of overall spending will be for IoT gadgets. Apparently the world wants its clothing to talk to its fridge.
So far most of the IoT gadgets have been single-connection solutions, but Samsung thinks that multiple connections between Samsung-branded products give provide consumers more choice.
All this will mean that your toaster will know you have been watching porn on your PC and might inform the TV or your business suit. This was something they didn't mention when I was watching Sealab 2020 in the 1970s.
