For years, Jobs' Mob was telling the world that Samsung did not have any original ideas that it did not steal from Apple. Now it appears that it desperately needs Samsung expertise.
The Korea Times claims that Apple has been targeting "experts in next-generation technology" from Samsung Electronics.
Citing an anonymous official from Samsung, the report highlights that the iPhone maker has a history of picking off chip experts from the Korean company using competitive compensation and "greater independence" as engineers.
But if Samsung copies Apple, then what advantage does Jobs' Mob have in stealing staff from the outfit? Apple recently decided to start buying Samsung's chips to stick in its next generation iPhone, it is starting to look like without its old partners it can't come up with anything new.
