Intel confirms Rocket Lake-S launch date for March 30th

That did not stop retailers from selling it

Although some retailers have started selling Intel's 11th generation Core desktop CPUs early, Intel has confirmed that the launch date is firmly set for March 30th.

In a statement to Hardwareluxx's hack, Andreas Schilling, Intel said that the date has been officially set for March 30th and that it takes its embargo agreements seriously. Intel was unwilling to comment on particular actions taken by retailers, namely Mindfactory.de selling over 100 pieces during the weekend.

In case you missed it earlier, Mindfactory.de, one of the bigger retailers/e-tailers in Germany, sold Intel's i7-11700K to customers, which resulted in a flood of benchmarks online.

In case you missed it earlier, Intel's 11th gen Core S-series CPUs, code name Rocket Lake will bring new CPU core architecture with double-digit IPC improvements, Intel UHD graphics based on 12th generation Xe graphics architecture, up to 20 CPU PCIe 4.0 lanes, overclocking features and capabilities, as well as Intel Deep Learning Boost and VNNI support, integrated USB 3.0 Gen 2x2 (20G) and more.

We are looking at CPUs with up to 8-cores/16-thread Cypress Cove cores, 50 percent higher performance for 12th gen Xe graphics, compared to Gen9 IGP, new memory controller with DDR4-3200 support, aforementioned integrated PCIe Gen 4 from the CPU with a total of 20 CPU PCIe Gen 4 lanes.
