Although it was announced back in July last year, Ryzen Threadripper PRO CPUs were only available to OEMs and system integrators, leaving a lot of PC enthusiasts as DIY users out in the cold.
Luckily, as of today, three out of four Ryzen Threadripper PRO CPU SKUs will now be available in retail/e-tail shops, including the 64-core/128-thread Ryzen Threadripper PRO 3995WX. Bear in mind that you will also need AMD's WRX80 motherboard, like the ASUS Pro WS WRX80E-SAGE SE WIFI listed at $999.99 on Newegg.com.
The AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO lineup offers plenty of features and improvements over standard platforms, including the AMD Pro technologies, like Memory Guard feature, ECC memory support, AMD's Secure Processor, as well as up to 64-cores, 8-channel memory, and 128 PCIe Gen 4 lanes.
As noted, three Ryzen Threadripper PRO SKUs will be available to retail/e-tail, including the 16-core Ryzen Threadripper PRO 3955WX, the 32-core Ryzen Threadripper PRO 3975WX, and the 64-core Ryzen Threadripper PRO 3995WX. The only SKU missing from the list is the 12-core Ryzen Threadripper Pro 3945WX.
The price ranges from $1,149.99 for the Ryzen Threadripper Pro 3955WX to $5,489.99 for the Ryzen Threadripper PRO 3995WX.
