As we said before, 3.06GHz

Intel has been keeping busy as the company announced quite a couple of new processors together with a stripped-down version of the GS45 chipset to be called the GS40 Express Chipset. Three of the announced processors are Core 2 Duo whereas the announced Pentium SU2700 is of course a ULV processor.

The T9900 runs at 3.06GHz thus becoming is the first mobile Penryn Core 2 Duo to break the 3GHz mark and it will be the crème of the crop CPU when it comes to notebooks. It’s of course built in 45nm and should come with a 1066MHz FSB, 6MB of L2 cache and 35W TDP.

The P9700 and P8800 Core 2 Duo are running at 2.8GHz and 2.66GHz respectively. The P9700 should come with 6MB of L2 cache, a 1,066MHz bus speed and a TDP of 35W. The P8800 should have 3MB of L2 cache, 1066MHz bus speed and a TDP of 25W.

The SU2700 ULV Pentium runs at 1.3GHz and it should go well with the also announced GS40 Express chipset. We’re not yet sure about the total consumption of these two but we’ll know soon enough.
