3GHz and 95W TDP for businesses

AMD´s high clocked business CPU that is meant to sit in the Kodiak platform will be branded as Phenom II X4 B95 and this one will work at 3.0GHz. Phenom II X4 B95 is nothing more than a Deneb CPU with a different brand and of course it first in AM3 socket CPU that should also work in socket AM2+. The new business platform supports DDR3.

The interesting thing is that this part has a TDP of 95 Watts, while the consumer Phenom II X4 940 and 945 at 3GHz have 125W TDP. B95 has 4x512KB L2 cache and 6MB L3 cache and it should be enough horsepower for just about any kind of business.

It is meant to replace Phenom X4 9850B, the top clocked Agena 65nm quad-core that is currently the fastest business class CPU from AMD, clocked at a modest 2.5GHz, and it should give AMD a fighting chance in this market.
