Regor dual K10.5 in June 09

AMD's
biggest problem is the lack of a 45nm dual-core that can compete with Intel's Core 2 duo series and Intel is still having huge success in both mobile and desktop area.

The answer, codenamed Regor, comes in June and it will simply be branded as Athlon X2 200 series. This new dual-core has 2MB of cache and it should run at clock speeds in excess of 2.8GHz. Intel's fastest dual core runs at 3.33GHZ and all Core 2 Duo are a huge success on the market.

AMD will also have some tri-cores and some will be branded as Phenom and some Athlons, as Athlon has so far been quite successful for AMD.
