Alienware has updated its Aurora gaming desktop system with AMD's Phenom 9850 Black Edition processor.
Alienware's Aurora gaming desktop has been updated so users can choose AMD's Quad-core Phenom 9850 Black Edition working at 2.5GHz. The Spider platform-based Aurora allows you to choose a single ATI card, two card Crossfire or even CrossfireX with two HD 3870 X2 cards.
The new AMD Phenom X4 9850 Black Edition will bring the price up by $450, when compared to the basic configuration, which starts at $999. Alienware offers a preconfigured system called "high-performance gaming" that costs $2,049, and this one will get you the new Phenom with dual ATI HD 3870 X2 configuration. You can find the Aurora systems here.
