Intel is getting rid of lot of Pentium Processors especially the single core ones. As we are now in Q2 Intel decided to stop the production and selling a bunch of Pentium 4 CPU's.

That includes 670, 660, 650, 640 and 630 models. The biggest numbered one the 670 works at 3.8 GHz, the 660 works at 3.6 GHz, 650 works at 3.4 GHz, 640 works at 3.2 GHz while the last one branded as Pentium 4 630 works at 3.0 GHz.  

All of them are Prescott based 90 nanometre CPU's. Farewell you hot beasts, you served us well, AMD will miss you as it had great sales when this was the best that Intel could come up.

Cedar Mill based CPU's will live a bit more with its Product Discontinuance Notice scheduled for Jun and August as the real end of life. Intel's future looks Core 2 Duo and eventually Quad all over.
