The iPhone X looking phone will be announced at the upcoming Mobile World Congress that starts on February 26. The phone is called the Ulephone T2 Pro and it measures 165.85x78.25x7.7mm. You can expect a 19:9 form factor and 1080x2280 display resolution. 

The Helio P70 is the first 12nm processor from the house of MediaTek, and is yet to be announced. It uses a mix of four Cortex A73 cores clocked at 2.5GHz and four Cortex A53s clocked at 2.0 GHz, Mali G72 MP4 GPU at 800 MHz and Cat 12 modem. The peak of the download speed is likely to amount to 600 Mbps which is a significant upgrade compared to the previous generation.

The P70 supports 3x ISP camera sensors with up to 32MP@30FPS, DSP with a AI, Caffe 1 and 2, as well as tensor flow support. The chipset supports eMMC 5.1 and UFS 2.1 and 2x LPDDR4x 3733 with up to 8GB of total storage.

Back to Ulefone, the design looks astonishing in case you don’t mind the camera notch. Apple convinced tens of millions of people that the camera notch is a great thing, so Ulefone will find things a bit easier.

MediaTek has reshaped its strategy, focusing more on the performance part of the mainstream market, the market which it started and rocked a few years ago. It realized that Helio X30 would have a hard time fighting the high end Snapdragon but again, its Helio P series offers good performance for the buck.

We will have to wait and see the camera configuration of the Ulefone P70 phone and it is hard to envisage a dual camera setup. The phone will be announced at the Mobile World Congress 2018 that starts on February 26 and it will probably ship at some point in Q2 2018. More from the show as details emerge.
