Leaves it for a separate event

Xiaomi will reportedly keep its upcoming Mi 7 flagship for a separate event and won't unveil it at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2018 show in Barcelona.

Unlike the previous year, Xiaomi will be present at the show showing some new things like the rumored Surge S2 SoC or the update Mi Mix 2S smartphone.

Unfortunately, according to Androidheadlines.com, Xiaomi will be keeping its flagship Mi 7 for a separate event.

The MWC 2018 is already quite crowded with Samsung announcing its Galaxy S9 and S9+, Sony showing off its Xperia XZ Pro and Nokia unveiling a couple of new things as well. Like Xiaomi, LG, HTC, and Huawei will not be bringing their own flagship smartphones either.

Earlier rumors suggest that the Xiaomi Mi 7 will be coming with a 5.65-inch FHD screen, 16-megapixel rear camera and is powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC with 8GB of RAM. There are also rumors about a Plus version with a bigger 6.01-inch OLED screen as well.

The Mobile World Congress 2018 is less than a month away and there will be plenty to see there despite some major players leaving their flagships for a less crowded day.
