Apple iPhone X shipping is delayed

by on27 October 2017

Slipping and sliding

Apple has finally opened up pre-orders for its iPhone X which will be available in over 50 countries and territories but the shipping date has already moved to December.

Available in silver and space grey color options and 64GB and 256GB models and starting at US $999/£999/€1,149, the iPhone X is obviously facing limited supply issues. As we already reported, Apple is facing huge manufacturing problems with OLED panels and its TrueDepth camera, which could be the possible culprits for the big delay.

While shipments of first pre-orders were expected to begin on next Friday, November 3rd, the shipping has already slipped to December and has moved from one to two weeks to five to six weeks.

As announced earlier by Apple, pre-orders are available in Andorra, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Greenland, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Japan, Jersey, Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, UAE, the UK, the US and US Virgin Islands.

It appears that the initial batch has already gone up in smoke and you'll probably see some of those first batch iPhone X smartphones on Ebay and other services, with a hefty premium, of course.
