HTC has posted a new teaser featuring the new HTC One Mini and it seems to indicate that the phone launches July 18, or today. HTC UK tweeted that it will have a “little” bit of news tomorrow. We know it’s really not that funny, but it was their pun, not ours.

As for the phone itself, it looks like it could give the underpowered Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini a run for its money. The One Mini is said to feature a dual-core Snapdragon 400 SoC, Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB of RAM and a 4.3-inch 720p screen. Best of all it has a 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera, just like the grown up HTC One.

There’s 16GB of internal storage, too, as well as Sense 5 and Android 4.2.2. It sounds like a very interesting handset indeed and if HTC doesn’t go overboard with the pricing it might be one of the more interesting mid-range devices this season.
