LG Optimus 4X HD comes in mid-June
€499 preorders at Amazon
LG was the phone maker to offer a dual-core phone with last year’s LG Optimus 2X, the first phone to ship with Tegra 2, but in 2012, LG missed the change to be the first with a quad-core phone.
First to ship quad-core based phones was Taiwanese HTC and we are hearing that international version of HTC One X is selling just fine. LG has just announced that its LG Optimus 4X HD will become available in June, with availability by mid-June and the official price is sky high, €649 to be precise.
However, German branch of Amazon has this phone listed for preorders for €499 which is much more competitive and good price. Just two days ago Samsung has came out with Galaxy S III phone, yet another quad-core with a very nice spec and LG won’t have an easy time competing with Sammy.
Having a €499 price versus Galaxy S III at €599 is a good start, but we have to wait and see if LG Optimus 4X HD can live to its expectations. Optimus 4X HD comes with micro SD slot, 2150 mA replaceable battery and 4.7-inch true IPS display with 1280x720 resolution.
We are not sure what LG wanted to say with this picture, as the phone looks absolutely huge, which probably has more to do with the choice of lens and the petit model used in the shot.
