Worldwide preorders for Samsung’s new flagship phone have reportedly hit 9 million.

According to Korean media, more than 100 carriers are on board for the ride and the Galaxy S III should launch in Germany on May 29, before being unleashed on other countries. (Why does this sound vaguely familiar? Ed.)

Samsung is said to be ramping up S III production and its fabs south of the 38th parallel should be able to churn out as many as 5 million units a month.
