LG Optimus 4X HD gets benchmarked
Faster than HTC One X in some benches
Greek site Techblog has jumped the gun and scored some early benchmarks of LG's upcoming flagship smartphone, the Optimus 4X HD.
In case you missed it, the LG Optimus 4X HD is based on Nvidia's quad-core Tegra 3 chip clocked at 1.5GHz placed behind a 4.7-inch HD-IPS LCD 1280x720 capacitive touchscreen. Although it is based on the same specs as the HTC's flagship One X smartphone, LG's Optimus ends up faster in Quadrant and AnTuTu benchmarks while HTC One X still hold the crown in NenaMark2. The reason behind a higher score could be HTC's Sense 4.0 UI that takes a bit more resources, while LG's Optimus 4X HD runs on stock Android 4.0 ICS.
As noted, Optimus 4X scored slightly higher in both Quadrant and Antutu benchmark, while HTC One X managed to get a few more fps in Nenamark2 bench. Of course, we are talking about pre-release Optimus 4X HD unit so we will hold our final judgement when we see some official reviews.
