There have been plenty of rumours regarding the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S3 at MWC 2012 in Barcelona later this month, but now it looks like Samsung's new flagship phone will be delayed.
According to a news post over at Techradar.com, Samsung confirmed that the sucessor to the Galaxy S2 smartphone will be unveiled at a seperate Samsung-hosted event in the first half of the year. The reason behind this decision apparently lays in the fact that Samsung wants it to be closer to commercial availablity of the product.
Samsung also noted that it is looking forward to introducing and demonstrating exciting new mobile products at MWC 2012, but the delay of the hyped Galaxy S3 is certainly a disappointment. Of course, as noted at Techradar.com, the delay also might have something to do with the fact that rumoured iPhone 5 launch in July.
