Reuters reports that Microsoft demanded Samsung to pay up $15 per every smartphone based on Google’s Android.

Apparently, Microsoft feels entitled to the cash as it has a wide range of patents used in the platform. Samsung on the other hand is more interested in $10.

Samsung is the world’s second largest handset maker. Although the company expects Q2 profits to be 26 percent lower than in 2010 due to disappointing sales of LCD displays, its phone business has turned out to be a golden goose.
