Samsung announced that it sold 3 million units of its Galaxy S II smartphone in only 55 days.
The company crunched some numbers and came up with the fact that one Galaxy S II was sold every 1.5 seconds. As you'd imagine, that's much better than its predecessor Galaxy S, which managed to hit 3 million sales in 85 days.
Interestingly enough, Samsung was cautious in setting expectations for this device. The company expects to sell 10 million units in 2011, which is about the same the original Galaxy S managed thus far.
