Palm to release Nova-powered phone
Might be an iPhone nadger kicker
Palm, the one time market leader and now also ran, is about to make a comeback with a Nova-powered smartphone.
According to the dark satanic rumour mill, the outfit, which is now backed by U2 popular beat crooner Bono, will launching a smartphone in two days time. The beast will runs Nova, its next-generation operating system and a full QWERTY keyboard that will slide under the touchscreen.
Nova has been spending a lot of its life with the title 'soon to be released' and 'much delayed'. When it is released it is regarded as crucial to the company's chances of regaining a foothold in the mobile computing market.
The Linux based OS would bring the Palm-branded operating system into the modern era of computing. Bono has also hired a few former Apple executives to help out at Palm so it would seem that the outfit aims to give Jobs' Mob a run for its money.
