The Open Handset Alliance’s Website recently informed the public that 14 new members joined this group. The new members are Sony Ericsson, Huawei Technologies, AKM Semiconductor, ARM, ASUSTek, Atheros Communications, Borqs, Ericsson, Garmin International, Omron Software, Softbank Mobile, Teleca AB, Toshiba and Vodafone.
The new members will from now on promote Android-based devices, in order to deliver them to end users and provide users with more enjoyable and comfortable work. Some of these companies will make Android-based devices, whereas others will help in improving the code in Android Open Source Project and provide support through products and services.
