Intel just got to 160GB with its X25-M series of SSD drives and it looks that the company wants to double the capacity by the end of the year.

The current 160GB X25-M is a 2.5 inch drive, meant for notebooks or high performance desktops and it is developed in 50nm technology. The successor that comes in Q4 2009 will be feature a 320GB capacity, and it comes in the 34nm process.

This confirms our news that we wrote about a month ago here, but it is interesting as Intel wants to drive X25-M series for its high performance notebooks. The big issue of SSD's is the ridiculous price of the devices as despite the speed, the price is simply over the top.
