Dell silently launched three sub $500 desktops which are powered by Radeon HD 2400 PRO and 2400XT cards. From now on Optiplex 740, 745 and 755 can be powered with Radeon HD 2000 cards and they still remain cheap.

Dell also added 2400 cards as an option for its existing 700 series. This of course means better sales for ATI and the VP of GPU sales a scotman has to be really happy about the deal. Radeon HD 2400 beats Intel IGP in both Video and Vista performance and you can actually even play some games on these cards.
