Following the release of Ubisoft's latest AAA title, Watch Dogs, Nvidia has released its newest Geforce 337.88 WHQL Game Ready driver which promises to bring up to 75 percent increase in performance thanks to certain DirectX 11 and SLI performance optmizations, reduced game loads and much more.
According to the released details, the new Geforce 337.88 WHQL driver will bring some impressive DirectX 11 performance optimizations for which will enable Nvidia HairWorks, HBAO+, and other GameWorks effects in games like Assassin’s Creed IV, Batman: Arkham Origins, Call of Duty: Ghosts, The Witcher 3, and Watch Dogs.
Of course, Nvidia notes that the performance optimizations will heavily depend on the CPU, GPU, operating system and general system configuration. However, it also says that any configuration should experience some degree of performance improvement in almost all DirectX 11 games, even on high-end and mid-range graphics cards, like the GTX 750 running at 1920x1080 resolution.
As expected, the new driver also includes a bunch of SLI performance optimizations as well as profile updates and 3D Vision enhancements and profiles. The new Geforce 337.88 WHQL driver also brings Shader Cache which optimizing load times and CPU performance. The new Shader Cache feature which will be included in the Nvidia Control Panel saves compiled shaders to a cache on the hard drive thus reducing load times and CPU usage.
As always, the new driver as well as full release notes are available over at Nvidia's Geforce driver page.
