As expected, Sapphire has rolled out its own Radeon R9 290 graphics card that uses AMD's reference design paired up with a couple of Sapphire stickers.
In case you missed it earlier, the R9 290 is based on the same 28nm Hawaii GPU as the R9 290X but features 2560 stream processors, 160 TMUs, 64 ROPs and still packs 4GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 512-bit memory interface. The R9 290 also features slightly lower clocks set at 948MHz for the maximum GPU clock and 1250MHz (5.0GHz effective) for memory.
As announced earlier, the R9 290 graphics cards, including Sapphire's own, will hit retail/e-tail shelves with a US $399.99 ex. VAT price tag.
