Gainward has now officially released the GTX 680 Phantom card equipped with 4GB of memory.

The new GTX 680 Phantom features the same cooler as the original GTX 680 Phantom with 2GB of memory but comes with a slightly lower clocks set at 1006MHz for the base GPU clock, 1058MHz for boost clock and 1502MHz (6008MHz effective) for 4GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 256-bit memory interface.

The additional 2GB of memory is placed on the backside of the PCB but isn't covered with a backplate. The PCB feature 6-phase DrMOS VRM and should provide decent amount of overclocking headroom, especially due to use of quite good Phantom II cooler.

Unfortunately, additional 2GB of memory come with a higher price tag so the new Gainward GTX 680 Phantom 4GB is currently listed at around €600, or around €80-ish more when compared to the 2GB Phantom card.
