Since cutting a deal with Take-Two, the new home for THQ’s old WWE wrestling franchise will see its first release under the new Take-Two banner arrive on October 29th in North America. The 2014 edition, which is known as WWE 2K14, will be released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3; there is no word if a next generation offering is planned, but we think it is doubtful for the 2K14 release.

Longtime WWE franchise developer Yukes is still at the helm of the WWE franchise and while the publication and distribution have changed, the team developing the game has not, which is likely a good thing for fans.

The new deal that Take-Two has for the WWE franchise will give Take-Two exclusive publishing rights to WWE titles across all major platforms and distribution channels. The length of the new deal is not known at this time.
