NHL 13 to get collector’s edition
Something new for hockey fans
EA Sports Canada has confirmed that this year for NHL 13 (which will be released on September 11th in North American and September 14th in Europe) EA will offer both a standard and collector’s edition of the game. While other EA Sports titles have had collector’s editions, this will be a first for the NHL hockey franchise, from what we can remember.
NHL 13 will add a number of new features, including the new True Performance Skating and EA Sports Hockey IQ. In addition, the game will add the use of the EA Player Impact Engine that was used so well in the EA Sports release of FIFA 12.
While details have not been completely flushed out on the Collector’s Edition of NHL 13, it would seem that the biggest difference will be the number of Hockey Ultimate Team card packs that will be included, as well as soft additional extras that will separate the regular edition of NHL 13 from the Collector’s Edition. We are told both are available for pre-order at your local retailer now.
