Activision announced that Band Hero will bring different portable accessories to the DS Lite, in order to make the game experience look and feel more like the real thing.

Basically, the accessories are grips that will make playing the virtual guitar/bass much easier, along with the new Drum Grip which introduces pads for aspiring DS drummers. Unfortunately, the grips will fit only on the DS Lite, as the DSi for instance lacks slots for the Guitar Grip, but we’re pretty confident we’ll see a different version for other portable devices as well.

We can’t say whether they run well, as we haven’t tried them yet, but we must admit that they sure look good. Band Hero will hit the shelves in November, will feature 30 recordings from popular artists and will support wireless multiplayer.
