EA Sports head, Peter Moore, has written in his blog that he think that E3 has to change, and the frustration of everyone, from the participants, publishers, working press, and financial analysts, was evident at this year’s event.

No doubt that E3 has lost some of the things that made it great. Moore suggests in his blog that inviting the community to the event might just be the way to go. With the right planning Moore suggest that it is possible and it would bring some of the raw passion back into the event, after all these are the biggest fans.

Moore says that EA is working with the ESA to fix the problems with the event’s format. We agree with Moore that we don’t want to see the game of one-upsmanship that was a part of the old larger E3 format. We do think that E3 will be forced to go much bigger, or the event will quickly become a thing of the past.
