2K Games posted a couple of new screenshots from Sid Meier’s Civilization IV: Colonization. Colonization is the third expansion for this popular strategy game. This expansion is currently in the pipes and should be on the shelves sometime in fall this year.

This expansion should be stand-alone, meaning you won’t need the original Civ 4 to play it.

Firaxis Games is, as the name suggests, aiming to capture the feel of the original Colonization game made by Sid Meier in 1994. In this game you’ll be leading one of 4 European nations, lead them to conquest and colonize the “new world”. You’ll be negotiating, trading and, of course, leading some freedom and independence warfare.
