Cyber Storm wargame hacked
Cheating skews results
An exercise designed to test the U.S. ability to weather a cyber storm has been thwarted by one of the players hacking the computer.
The player was one of the government and corporate players who were involved in the exercise. According to Associated Press, the $3 million war game simulated what the U.S. describes as plausible attacks against the technology industry, transportation lines and energy utilities by anti-globalization hackers.
It had a mixed result, but then again, no one factored in cheating.
