Despite the fact that the US ESRB granted an "M" rating for the game, the British Board of Film Classification said no once again to Manhunt 2 for the Nintendo Wii.
David Cooke, the director of the BBFC, stated that they had considered the changes that were made, but that they are still "clearly insufficient" and that the game still retained the "original visceral and casually sadistic nature".
The future of Manhunt 2 for the Nintendo Wii rests in the hands of Take 2 and its willingness to appeal the board's decision, but not until they make further changes to the game itself.
