Halo 3 launch event in Taipei
Halo arrives on the 360
We attended the Halo 3 lanch in Taipei, Taiwan and we can tell you that it's quite different from launch events in the western world, mostly because of the fact that the girl got much more attention from the photographers than the two blokes dressed up as the master cheif.
The launch of Halo 3 attracted a lot of attention in Taiwan and made front page news in several daily news papers as well as the evening news on some TV stations.
It's not something you'd expect to see in that way in the western world and oddly enough there seems to be more awareness about the game in Taiwan than the hardware platform that it's played on.
Microsoft was doing a special deal for early birds who could pick up the Halo 3 edition of the Xbox 360 alongside the Legendary Edition of Halo 3 for a very attractive €355.
For those that could't afford to get the game on the launch day, Microsoft provided a four by four player network setup for visitors to the launch event to have a chance to try out the game and we have to say that we were impressed by the skills of some of the younger players, although considering that the game is rated M for Mature, these kids shouldn't even be playing it.
