Intel will launch its P35 and G33 based motherboards in
this quarter, Q2 to be precise. The message is strong and some motherboards
might be released in April / May time. Computex is the ultimate goal and Intel traditionally
revealed a lot of chipsets there.
The good thing about these chipsets is that they support
both DDR3 and DDR 2 and will finally start the transition toward this faster
memory. The second key thing for Intel is that the boards based on these
chipsets should fully supports 45 nanometre processors.
These babies won't come till Q1 2008 but it's good to be
ready. We hope that these boards are going to end up as a good memory and
overall overclockers. We need such a board.
