Acer hopes to ship 30 million netbooks in 2009
According to Digitimes, Acer is confident that it will manage to exceed its netbook shipment target of 28 million units, and hopes to sell in excess of 30 million.
This is a truly staggering figure, especially if you consider that Acer managed to sell 21.4 million netbooks in the first three quarters of 2009, so it will need to ship 8.6 million by year's end.
The company reported Q3 revenues of US 5.19 billion, a 40 percent increase quarter-on-quarter, and it hopes to see an additional 10 percent of growth in Q4.
