Google has recently accused Microsoft of designing Vista to discourage use of Google's desktop search program. It has not, however, been made public.
Although many were expecting that Google might prevail in this argument, it seems it is not going to happen as the complaint has been rejected. It appears that the US administration is not going to let anyone harm Microsoft, which is quite a sharp legal turn from Microsoft's near-division almost a decade back.
Microsoft, on the other hand, claims to have made modifications in Vista in response to concerns raised by Google and other companies.
