Ceglia cut off his electronic monitoring bracelet and left home in violation of the conditions of his bail, court papers said. By doing so, he forfeited a $250,000 personal bond. Ceglia gained 15 minutes of fame in 2010 when he sued Facebook claiming that under a 2003 contract with Mark Zuckerberg he owned half of the social notworking outfit. Although it does sound daft, Zuckerberg had worked for Ceglia’s StreetFax.com.
However when it got to court, most of the documents looked forged and the Judge threw the case out. Ceglia appealed but was arrested by federal agents for allegedly defrauding Zuckerberg and for fabricating evidence to support his claim of ownership.
Ceglia then appealed a 2014 ruling that dismissed his Facebook ownership claim. A trial has been set for May.
