Russian consumer organisation the Federation for Legal Help to Consumers has won a case against HP which claimed the company failed to fulfill its responsibilities related to device repair guarantee .
HP said that it does its best to provide efficient service support to its customers but admits that in some cases it takes more time to repair a device than initially planned.
The case was based on a complaint from Albina Kasenko who was waiting for repair which should have taken 20 days a year later.
When she got no joy from HP, she contacted the Federation for Legal Help to Consumers. The court said that HP should give her $720 and repair the computer in 30 days.
