A Taiwanese judge has used a Google map showing an unleashed dog as evidence against a bloke sible for his neighbour’s bicycle crash.

The victim surnamed Peng claimed that he became scared after a dog began chasing him while he was riding his bicycle. He fell  off the bike and injured his forehead. The defendant surnamed Lee denied being the dog's owner and causing injury through negligence.
Judge Song Kuo-chen was shown a two-year-old Google Street View picture which had the dog standing in Lee's yard.

This meant that Lee was its owner, local police said that there were no other dogs in the rural neighbourhood in Miaoli County south of Taipei where Lee and the victim live. The Judge said that was good enough for him and fined Lee $2,000.
