Microsoft will release the first service pack for Windows 7 on February 22. The service pack has already been made available for OEMs.

The 1.2GB download will feature all prior updates and fixes and Redmond claims it will improve networking, security and mobility. Some virtualization improvements are also expected.

Nice news for anyone planning to do some housekeeping and a Spring reinstall.
