ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte and ZOTAC are all ready to ship their take on the entry-level GPU, which officially launches tomorrow, despite Nvidia originally planning a later debut in July.
ASUS has gone all-in with its Prime and Dual series. The Prime OC variant boosts to 2707 MHz, packing a triple-fan cooler, while the standard Prime and Dual models max out at 2602 MHz.
Gigabyte’s line-up includes a Gaming OC at 2632 MHz, a WindForce OC and a low-profile card both clocking in at 2587 MHz. Gigabyte isn’t pushing clocks to the edge, likely to keep pricing competitive.
MSI, meanwhile, has six models. The Gaming OC variant leads the pack at 2647 MHz, followed by Shadow and Ventus editions with both standard and OC trims. Most of these hover between 2587 and 2617 MHz.
ZOTAC takes a more compact approach, with its Twin Edge cards peaking at 2602 MHz and a single-fan SOLO model coming in slightly lower at 2572 MHz.
All the cards are expected to start at $249 and go up to $299, depending on cooling and factory overclocks. While release is expected on 1 July, don’t hold your breath for immediate shelf space. Aavailability is likely to be sketchy at launch.
