"Noctua originates from the PC cooling market, but our fans' award-winning performance, quietness of operation and long-term stability are just as useful in various other applications" says Roland Mossig (Noctua CEO). "Our industrial clients as well as tech-savvy DIYers have already been using our fans for applications beyond the PC cooling space for many years, so the new HOME line marks the next step in leveraging our technologies for a wider scope of cooling demands and making them more accessible for a broader audience."
As said, there are two complete sets, including the NV-FM1, which is a pivoting mount for 120 and 140 mm fans, allowing it to be used on desks and other level surfaces, as well as fixed to walls, ceilings, and any other object. In case you need a focused airflow, there is the NV-A1-12 airflow amplifier. Both are bundled with an NF-A12x25 fan, an NA-FC1 fan controller, and the NV-PS1 230/115V AC to 12V DC power supply, as well as a fan grill and extension cable.
Noctua is also launching NV-MPG1 multi-purpose gaskets, that allow these sets to be used with A/V receivers, DVRs, video game consoles, routers/switches, and any other device that has ventilation holes. There are also the NV-MPP1 pads that allow these sets to be mounted below the device, and the NV-FS2 set will give you both gaskets and pads with an NV-A12x25 fan, controller, and NV-PS1 power supply, as well as the same fan grill and extension cable.
Noctua took this opportunity to launch the new NV-FH2, a more robust version of the NA-FH1 8-way fan hub, which now uses a standard 12V connector and removable cover.
You can check out the full Noctua HOME lineup over at the Noctua website and there is a nice video that shows some applications.
