Keeping the AM4 socket alive

In addition to announcing new AM5 processors, AMD is obviously keen to keep the AM4 socket alive, extending support for the socket well through the year. At a dedicated event in China, AMD unveiled both the Ryzen 8000F series SKUs, that will come with disabled integrated graphics, as well as the new Ryzen 5000 XT series SKUs.

According to the leaked slide spotted by Videocardz.com, AMD is aiming to cover as much of the market as it can, and while no specific details were provided, we expect the Ryzen 5000 XT series to follow the previous updates and introduce Zen 3 SKUs with higher frequencies.

AMD is targeting the Chinese market with new SKUs, so it is still not clear if these will be available globally, but hopefully, AMD will provide more details soon.
