In addition to peaking at 12,400MB/s and 11,800MB/s for sequential performance, the Corsair MP700 PRO also provides random 4K read and write performance of up to 1.5M and 1.6M IOPS, making it a lot faster than your PCIe 4.0 SSD.
In order to keep it well cooled, Corsair says that the MP700 PRO needs additional cooling, whether from an integrated M.2 cooling on the motherboard, or a bit more advanced cooling with an included Air Cooler. There is also the MP700 PRO Hydro X Series version which ships with a pre-assembled water block, that should certainly help with cooling.
Corsair says that the 1TB and 2TB MP700 PRO PCIe Gen 5 x4 NVMe M.2 SSDs are available immediately from its own webstore and retailers, while the 4TB MP700 PRO version will be coming later this winter.
