New configuration leaked

The dark satanic rumour mill has manufactured a hell on earth yarn claiming that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, expected in 2024, will use custom “Phoenix” cores and mass-produced on TSMC’s cutting-edge N3E process.

Tipster Digital Chat Station said that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will use two ‘Phoenix’ cores and six ‘Phoenix M’ cores.

With fewer performance cores, Qualcomm’s new architecture may lean on LPDDR6 RAM, which is said to increase bandwidth while reducing power consumption. Tipster Digital Chat Station is not the only one to mention the rumour about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 being mass-produced on TSMC’s N3E process.

Digital Chat Station told the gathered throngs on Weibo  that Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 mobile phone partners are unknown yet.  This might be because some of them are waiting to test samples.

An earlier rumour was that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 obtained a higher multi-threaded score than the Apple M2 which would be pretty important for sales and marketing.
