Measuring just 117.x112x54mm, or 4x4, makes the Simply NUC Moonstone one of the most compact mini PCs on the market, and when combined with AMD's Ryzen 9 7940HS APU, an 8-core/16-thread Zen 4 architecture CPU with Radeon 780M RDNA 3 architecture GPU, as well as the new XDNA AI accelerator, it should provide plenty of performance.
"Perfect for working or gaming, we saw an opportunity to set the new standard of innovation-driven mini PC performance," said Aaron Rowsell, Simply NUC co-CEO, "Moonstone is the highest performing 4x4 ever launched."
Simply NUC has three Moonstone SKUs lined up, the CBM3r9MS, the CBM3r7MS, and the CBM3r5MS. While the CBM3r9MS comes with the aforementioned Ryzen 9 7940HS APU, the CBM3r7MS gets the Ryzen 7 7735U, and the CBM3r5MS comes with Ryzen 5 7535U APU.
The rest of the features and specifications include a new Dual Exhaust Cooling system that should keep the little thing well cooled, support for up to 64GB of DDR5-4800 memory in two SODIMM slots, support for up to 16TB of storage in one M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 slot and one 2.5-inch drive bay (8TB+8TB), Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX210 and Bluetooth 5.2, Intel 2.5Gb LAN (i225-V), plenty of USB ports (front USB 3.2 Type-A and USB 2.0 Type-A, and rear two USB 4 Type-C and USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A), front 3.5mm audio jack, and two HDMI 2.1 outputs. It comes with a 19V 120W (90W for the CBM3r9MS) external power supply.
The entire lineup of Simply NUC Moonstone mini PCs is up for pre-order, starting at $699 for the CBM3r5MS, which includes Ryzen 5 7535U, 8GB of DDR5 memory, and a 256GB PCIe SSD. The CBM3r9MS, one with the Ryzen 9 7940HS, starts at $939 with 8GB of DDR5 RAM, and 256GB of PCIe SSD storage.
