The screen has DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, and micro HDMI 2.1 inputs, support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and DisplayHDR True Black 400 support, and it is pretty much as high-end as it can get, including a slim design with a metal frame and CoreSync and Core Lighting+ technology that matches the lighting with colors on the screen. It also has built-in stereo speakers.
Samsung was keen to note that the Odyssey OLED G9 is the first OLED monitor to offer Dual Quad High Definition (DQHD 5,120 x 1,440) resolution at a 32:9 ratio, which pretty much adds up to two QHD screens side by side on a 49-inch screen size. It also comes with the Samsung Gaming Hub and smart TV apps, including Xbox Game Pass and NVIDIA GeForce Now.
The Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SC) will be available for purchase as of today, depending on the region, and available globally from Q3 2023. The MSRP is set at US$2,200.
