by on05 January 2023

Coming with boxed coolers on January 10th

AMD has introduced three new Ryzen 7000 series 65W SKUs at CES 2023, including the Ryzen 5 7600, Ryzen 7 7700, and the Ryzen 9 7900. All three will have a 65W TDP, come with boxed coolers, and should be available on January 10th at rather neat price points.

The lineup kicks off with the Ryzen 9 7900, a 12-core/24-thread SKU boosting up to 5.4GHz. It has 76MB of L2+L3 cache and will be bundled with the Wraith Prism cooler. AMD is targeting both gamers and creators with this one.

The Ryzen 7 7700 is an 8-core/16-thread SKU with 5.3GHz Boost, and 40MB of L2+L3 cache. It also comes with the same Wraith Prism RGB LED cooler and aims specifically at gamers.

The Ryzen 5 7600 should be quite a favorite CPU on the market due to its price/performance ratio. This 6-core/12-thread SKU boosts up to 5.1GHz, has 38MB of L2+L3 cache, and comes bundled with the Wraith Stealth cooler.

AMD is putting some rather aggressive pricing with Ryzen 9 7900 coming in at $429 and the Ryzen 7 7700 at $329, both with bundled coolers. We said that the Ryzen 5 7600 could be quite popular, as it was the case with the Ryzen 5 5600X. It is priced at $229 with the boxed cooler and might be perfect for mid-range budget-oriented builds.
